I'm hoping Americans have learned some lessons over the last eight years, and can see that there is really no separation between McCain's and Palin's policies from Bush's. Their "We're rogues!" is an alluring message, but when you take a closer look, it's only a facade. I am concerned about Obama's experience, but not as much as McCain's "over-experience." He may call himself a rebel, but he's still clearly been corrupted by his time on Capitol Hill.

As for Proposition 8, I've got my fingers, and toes, crossed, and I hope it won't pass, but I didn't think Proposition 22 would pass either. It's been 8 years, Californians have had some time to mature and think about the decision, and a whole new group of young, liberal voters are taking to the polls. As I said, I've got my fingers crossed.

It's interesting... McCain didn't really bother me, until he picked Palin. He was almost positioning himself as a more "centric" Republican in some ways, and starting to succeed in distancing himself from the Shrubbery.

Then he picked Palin, and something like 75% of the country did a collective WTF?!? You look at her positions, think "he picked HER knowing that?" and any thoughts he might me reasonable went out the window...
