The supporters of Proposition 8 have started sending threatening letters to business leaders who have contributed to the "No on 8" campaign.

It's pretty inept blackmail.

"You're an open supporter of our opponents. We're going to publish that you're a supporter of our opponents! Something everybody already knows! Take that!"

Morally bankrupt? Incompetent? How about morally bankrupt and incompetent.

Wow, if my business currently had money (instead of massive debt :p), I'd contribute heftily to "No on 8" and laugh in these monkey's faces: "Go ahead! I support no on 8!! Please, publish to the world that I support no on 8! Tell your lies that therefore this automatically means "oppose "traditional" (read: het) marriage (like the one I am IN), eat babies, kick puppies, burn flowers, etc."!! Why on Earth should my customers, who don't know who the fuck YOU are, believe YOU?"

Anyone with half a brain should realize that a basic definition of someone by their vehement opponent is ALWAYS suspect. (Hint: Christians calling Jews "baby eaters" during the Inquisition era...)
