Hey Andy:

I've got a costume related question for you. As you may know, I'm working on an opera based on the legend of Media. I want to start storyboarding it (I'm going to make a DVD a couple of years down the road). Thus, I'm trying to come up with costuming ideas. I've got all the characters pretty much under control except for one.

The male lead is the host of a television talk show (ala Larry King, only he's young and handsome). The story takes place in the near unspecified future 10-20 years (no flying cars, space colonies, etc.). I want his costume to seem vaguely authoritarian / professional, yet a little sexy, or perhaps even kinky. Any ideas?

When in doubt, steal from the Nazis. Something like an SS Officer's day uniform without the insignia or braid.

Beyond that, I'd need a bit more information. It depends on what this near-future is like.
