Do you have a costume-related blog?

Do you participate in online costume forums and communities?

Would you like to help out Costume-Con (and Costume-Con 26 in particular)?

Costume-Con 26 has some very ambitious plans. We've already got over 500 pre-registered members, but that's just a step on the way to making Costume-Con 26 an event to remember. We could really use your help in raising awareness of Costume-Con.

What can you do? Costume-Con 26 has a stack of link banners ready for you to put on your website.

You could put one of these links...
  • on your website
  • in a journal entry
  • on your blog's profile page
  • in your forum signature
...or anywhere else you have a presence on the web.

Just grab a code fragment from one of the text boxes and add it to your page. If you're going to post this on your personal web page instead of LJ, get rid of the <lj-raw> and </lj-raw> items; they're purely there for the benefit of LJ folks.

While we're on the subject of links, the CC26 website has its own links section. Go there and submit your costume-related website for listing on our links page.

Do you have one that actually says Costume Con for me to post in places where CC isn't a well-known acronym?

Every code fragment includes the link text "Get your own Costume-Con 26 link banner"

Hey Andy:

I've got a costume related question for you. As you may know, I'm working on an opera based on the legend of Media. I want to start storyboarding it (I'm going to make a DVD a couple of years down the road). Thus, I'm trying to come up with costuming ideas. I've got all the characters pretty much under control except for one.

The male lead is the host of a television talk show (ala Larry King, only he's young and handsome). The story takes place in the near unspecified future 10-20 years (no flying cars, space colonies, etc.). I want his costume to seem vaguely authoritarian / professional, yet a little sexy, or perhaps even kinky. Any ideas?

When in doubt, steal from the Nazis. Something like an SS Officer's day uniform without the insignia or braid.

Beyond that, I'd need a bit more information. It depends on what this near-future is like.
