It's probably because I have no idea who you are.

If I know you in real life and I haven't friended you, comment back and let me know who you are and where I know you from. If it's conventions, it takes a while for names to stick in my head (particularly when I'm working a convention with a bunch of new people who are competing for memory cells, which is the last few months), so give me a link to a pic.
