There's nothing like working with Windows 2000 Professional to remind us how much better a version makes. XP's management/configuration interface is so much nicer than 2000's.

It's still not enough to get me to want to go Vista, though.

Yeah, but it also doesn't really give me anything I need that's not in XP Pro. What it does give me is pervasive DRM, uglier license clauses and a need to go out and buy parts for my machine.

I'll probably go to Vista after SP1 is done. On my work laptop when I ask them to buy me a new one in the summer of 2008.

Who says Vista is better than XP? I think it will be a cold day in hell (a sunny day in redmond?) before a lot of people upgrade.
