So this wide-format printer I'm interested just showed up in a local auction next month.

It's a $9k+ printer new if I'm right on the model. Doubt that it will go at a price we can afford, but you never know.

Still, I'm going to check out the auction catalog when it's published next week and register for the auction if it's what I want.
