One down...
Jul. 25th, 2004 11:31 amChristmas Eve in July was a lot of fun. Started a touch late, but drew a good crowd and raised a pretty decent amount of money.
kproche and I spent the afternoon in last-minute shopping. Drawing tickets, a guest book, and lights. Got a pair of mini double-halogen trees which actually make pretty decent stage lighting. Got to the Oddfellows Hall to find it artfully strewn with all sorts of Christmas stuff rescued from Miss Edie's garage. Put together sound and ran a scary selection of Christmas music until it was time for the show to start.
Carla does a great job with show support. There was a nice little dinner sandwich buffet and good beer & wine. The final show line-up featured Kevin, Idalis, Empress 32 Athena, Choclate Fantacy, and Crown Princess Siobhan. At the end of the night we pulled around $500, and it was just a matter of cleaning up and turning the hall back over to Carla.
