Actually reading again and letting my brain comprehend I see that the VW GX3 would work for me. I would just need to figure out a proper way to use the passenger space for cargo. For some reason numbers were reversed in my brain so that 46 was not good gas milage, in fact it is exactly in the range where my dream machine would be. The price is okay too. The only problem is the lack of a boot.
