The striped denim?

It's stretch striped denim. One way (cross-grain). Not a real problem, just a bit of a surprise.

Just enough of the green plaid...

...to make the hakama. I've got about 1/3 yard left off the end.

There might be enough off the side to make the kataginu too.

I feel like Omar the Tentmaker

The hakama are together. I need to finish the side seams and hem them, but they're pants.

I also need to re-iron the pleats. Oy.
