They put oil company lobbyists in charge of our energy policy.
They put Dubai in charge of our port security.
And they put a child predator in charge of the Committee for Missing and Exploited Children.

And they did a pretty good job, since they know the business better than anyone. Imagine how bad our prices would be right now if some vegan tree-hugger was in charge of energy? (and extreme example, and sorry if I offended any vegans and/or tree-huggers by that comment, but who would *you* suggest hold that position? Someone not informed about the energy business?)

No they didn't. A British company that was already in charge of Port Operations (not Port Security, Port Operations!) sold themselves to a Dubai company. Virtually no changes in how the port was to be run would have taken place, since existing employees were simply moving over to the other company, and absolutely NO changes to how U.S. Customs would have operated Port Security would have been made... so the current administration Ok'd the deal. Only after the public outcry became too excessive, Bush caved in and prohibited the deal. Our relations with Dubai were seriously hurt by that.

And they put a child predator in charge of the Committee for Missing and Exploited Children.
You make it sound like *they* knew about this before Foley was placed on that committee... Oh, I know that's the implication and the popular leftist spin, so it *must* be true. Never mind what the democrats knew about the same time the republicans did. Never mind that the story was sat on for SEVERAL MONTHS by ABC until it could be sprung as this year's "October Surprise"... none of that matters because it doesn't make republicans look bad.

Foley is the bad guy... Foley needs to pay for the crime. This isn't a partisan issue.
